Westminster City Council is the local authority for the City of Westminster in Greater London, England. We have set an emissions targets to be a net zero council by 2030 and for the city to become net zero by 2040. We actively engaged our city partners, communities, and residents to better understand the changes required to meet our targets, and manage the impacts of climate change, delivering against our Climate Emergency Action Plan. By protecting our environment, we can also protect the health and wellbeing of all those who live and work in the city. This is why we have declared an Ecological Emergency and are seeking to reduce air pollution to within World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines by 2040.
