We are seeking an experienced Design Technician with strong 3D solid modelling skills to join our Design Department in a new full time, permanent role.
The role will focus primarily on designing and preparing detailed manufacturing drawings and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor, while also supporting the transition of design information into BIM environments using Revit and Navisworks.
Working closely with the BIM Manager and Project Engineering team, you’ll play a key role in turning project and client requirements into accurate, manufacturable designs, while gaining exposure to collaborative BIM workflows used across our major data centre projects.
This position is ideal for someone with a solid background in mechanical or product design who is looking to apply their technical skills in a practical, engineering-led manufacturing environment with the opportunity to develop BIM expertise over time.
Produce 3D models, fabrication details, and manufacturing drawings in Autodesk Inventor.
Create assemblies and BOMs for polymer pipe systems and components.
Ensure drawings meet CPV standards and are production ready.
Support BIM Manager with Revit updates and coordination.
Prepare general arrangement drawings and layouts.
Interpret client drawings, 3D models and specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and workshop teams to resolve design issues.
Maintain accurate drawing registers and revision control.

Clever Energy – Technical Manager
Role & Responsibilities:
Provide maintenance & replacement of communal energy systems, including credit/prepay meters & sub-meters, data loggers, wiring, and broadband systems.
Work with clients to manage projects from installation, testing and commission systems and ensure remote meter reading capability.
Work with clients to onboard new metering systems to allow accurate billing of sub-meters
React to system faults to ensure system down-time is minimised.
Advise clients on projects covering systems strategy, performance, development from installation, commissioning, sign-off/approval.
Review and approve any associated engineering change control or commissioning protocol prior to execution.
Responsible for the asset inventory for systems at different locations.
Co-ordinate vendors on site and ensure standards are maintained.
Manage sub-contracted engineers in line with the above
Brownfield/Greenfield development with replacing or installing building wide metering systems
The successful candidate:
Engineering background – M&E, instrumentation, or building services
Experience of metering, data loggers, wired & wireless systems, BMS controls
Work with Installation, Commissioning & Repair/Maintenance teams on gas, communal energy – heat & hot water, electricity & water meters, ultrasonic, MBUS & LORAWAN systems
Excellent IT, numeracy, literacy and data accuracy skills.
Experience of working in a client facing role
Current Full UK driving licence required.
Based either Salford office or home based if located in South East. Majority of client base is London

Experienced Mechanical Estimator responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical engineering projects. This is a new, full-time permanent role. Working closely with the Project Engineering Manager and other internal teams, this role supports CPV’s tendering process and contributes to the successful delivery of projects by ensuring estimates are commercially sound, technically compliant, and aligned with client requirements.
Interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and tender documents to define project scope and requirements.

Overview of role and level of responsibility
We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a proven track record in the commercial and industrial heat pump market to support our rapidly growing pipeline of decarbonisation projects across the UK & Ireland.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable expertise across Ground Source, Air Source and Water Source technologies, and be comfortable taking ownership of the full tender lifecycle, from RFI through to final submission.
We would also welcome candidates with a strong MEP Estimating background, subject to significant project complexities and scale.
The role reports into the Head of Sales
Specific tasks and deliverables
Review and interpret RFIs / ITTs / RFQs to establish scope, technical requirements and key commercial parameters
Lead the full tender lifecycle, including preparation, coordination, and submission of bids for commercial and industrial heat pump projects
Undertake detailed take-offs from drawings, specifications and schedules
Develop cost models and pricing schedules for Ground Source, Air Source and Water Source heat pump systems
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes, identifying value engineering opportunities
Build and maintain accurate BoMs (Bills of Materials) for each proposal
Collaborate with internal engineering and project delivery teams to validate technical assumptions and design inputs

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in estimating within the commercial / industrial heat pump or M&E sector
Proven hands-on experience with Ground Source, Air Source and Water Source technologies
Demonstrable track record of managing end-to-end tender processes (RFI through to bid submission and negotiation)
Strong commercial acumen with experience producing detailed pricing models, BoMs and bid documentation
Experience working with design teams and project delivery teams to verify technical assumptions
Familiarity with UK and Ireland tender portals and procurement frameworks
Proficient in MS Excel and estimating software / tender management platforms
Desirable:
Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or related discipline
Experience with district heating, energy centres or large-scale decarbonisation projects
Knowledge of relevant CIBSE, MCS and building regulations impacting heat pump design and install
Previous exposure to value engineering initiatives and lifecycle cost optimisation
