About the Role

Working closely with the Chief Sales Officer and a highly experienced sales team, you will take ownership of estimating and bid coordination—helping shape compelling, cost-effective proposals for our clients across residential and commercial developments.

You’ll be the vital link between our head office in Chessington, our Romanian manufacturing facility, and our network of suppliers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pricing of HIUs and Energy Centres, including subcontracted mechanical labour
• Research costs for materials, transport, equipment and labour
• Obtain and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors within project deadlines
• Coordinate with the Romania factory to track lead-in times and cost structures
• Assess project risk levels and help define cost contingencies
• Prepare and submit quotations and tender documents
• Liaise with clients and consultants to understand project requirements and timelines
• Assist with bid submissions and documentation for new contract opportunities
• Monitor cost variations throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budget alignment

What You Bring

• Experience in mechanical and plumbing estimating, ideally with exposure to communal or domestic heat networks
• Strong commercial awareness and an analytical mindset
• Experience in pricing subcontractor labour
• Confidence in preparing professional bid/tender documents
• Comfortable communicating across departments, with clients, and overseas suppliers
• Organised, deadline-driven, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

What You’ll Do

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth and building relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

Tracking market trends in energy transition and leveraging insights to generate sales.
Identifying and pursuing new opportunities in the industrial refrigeration and heating sectors.
Developing strong relationships with energy consultants and ESCOs.
Managing client requests and creating strategic sales plans for future growth.

Promoting SABROE products across industrial cooling and heating applications.

This role is office-based but given the nature of the role you will be expected to meet customers including ESCOs, housing providers, contractors, developers and M&E consultants, and become a key point of contact for our customers in the South, providing recommendations for product selection, and upselling our wider portfolio of products and services to meet our customer’s needs.

You will be tasked with producing accurate tender documents for submission working closely with our bid manager, to convert and secure orders, and to undertake handovers to our operations team for the successful delivery of projects. This extends to delivering CPD’s to clients, consultants and specialist sub-contractors to ensure Evinox products are specified and to ensure customers fully understand our value proposition.

You will be provided with product training and the opportunity to grow and develop your expertise in this field, and attend seminars and exhibitions to gain further knowledge of Evinox competitors and the wider industry.

Role & Responsibilities:

Provide maintenance & replacement of communal energy systems, including credit/prepay meters & sub-meters, data loggers, wiring, and broadband systems.
Work with clients to manage projects from installation, testing and commission systems and ensure remote meter reading capability.
Work with clients to onboard new metering systems to allow accurate billing of sub-meters
React to system faults to ensure system down-time is minimised.
Advise clients on projects covering systems strategy, performance, development from installation, commissioning, sign-off/approval.
Review and approve any associated engineering change control or commissioning protocol prior to execution.
Responsible for the asset inventory for systems at different locations.
Co-ordinate vendors on site and ensure standards are maintained.
Manage sub-contracted engineers in line with the above
Brownfield/Greenfield development with replacing or installing building wide metering systems

The successful candidate:

Engineering background – M&E, instrumentation, or building services
Experience of metering, data loggers, wired & wireless systems, BMS controls
Work with Installation, Commissioning & Repair/Maintenance teams on gas, communal energy – heat & hot water, electricity & water meters, ultrasonic, MBUS & LORAWAN systems
Excellent IT, numeracy, literacy and data accuracy skills.
Experience of working in a client facing role
Current Full UK driving licence required.

Based either Salford office or home based if located in South East. Majority of client base is London
