As the Product Manager for Heat Networks, your role will be challenging and varied, with no two projects ever being the same. You’ll get to interact and engage with a range of people operating at various stages of the project lifecycle to gain clarity and commercial insights that will help to affirm the commercial decision-making processes and drive the success of the project.

Build deep relationships with the allocated Business Development Unit. Work with a cross-functional team to ensure UK market needs - regulations, voice of customer, competitive benchmarking, and UK use cases - are understood and incorporated into NPD Detailed Product Requests.
Identify new ways to create long term value through new technologies, product offerings and services
Own the UK product roadmap, including phase-in/phase-out planning, ensuring alignment across segments
Collaborate with BDUs to ensure successful local Product introductions and market cessations
Manage the performance of your product category in line with defined KPI’s and business goals. Working with stakeholders to align short and long term strategies to ensure product success

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Post-Graduate Engineer to join our technical support department. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, practical experience in engineering and renewable energy, and a passion for providing energy saving solutions. Key Responsibilities:

Have suitable technical knowledge to work alongside the sales managers to

Provide advice and support on a range of isoplus products within the District Energy sector.

Have the necessary skills to assist work colleagues with:

Bids and tenders for clients from a technical perspective
Technical sales support including technical clarifications relating but not limited to

Installation techniques
Product application
Leak detection

Provide key account management and/or support

Follow up on technical clarifications

Contribute to daily workflow of business processes.

Maintaining / inputting to CRM
Maintaining presentation / design documentation in line with current standards and internal procedures

Provide knowledge-based training on specific products to external and internal staff relating to:

The range of products isoplus offer and their suitability to customer needs.
The limitations of products and their application to allow technically secure advice
Having an awareness of market alternatives and have good assessment of comparison areas.
Having knowledge of installation techniques and their suitability to customer design needs
Having a good understanding of thermal performance evaluation

Assist UK sales team, support bids etc.

Production of technical documentation and submissions to support the sales team and bids
Support sales teams with presentation delivery and bud evaluation assessments.

In relation to Steel and PEX Systems the role requires you to:

Have a good understanding of the properties and capabilities
Have a good understanding of relevant EN standards applicable to product
Have a good knowledge of differing joint methods (Carrier pipe & External Casing)
Have a good knowledge of diffusion barrier and its reasoning
Be aware of the difference between vapour and gas diffusion barriers and the benefits of such measures.

Consultative advisory role (CPD delivery)

Be responsible for or assist in the generating CPD’s and achieve approval from governing agencies
Assist / deliver CPD’s or representative technical presentations to consultants etc
Keeping abreast of developing technologies and align internal and external documentation

Project execution support (Site / office support visits)

Provision where necessary on-site technical support to customers
Support / deliver external training to ensure compliance with isoplus’s warranties and standards
Support / deliver internal sales team training

Have the ability to review tender specifications to align with isoplus products.

Produce technical assessments from tender specification to allow sales tender alignment.
Produce specification import clauses for consultant use

Produce of Bill’s of Materials

Material take-offs.
Pricing frameworks.


Master’s degree in a suitably relevant engineering field from a recognised institution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office based software solutions.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and work on multiple projects concurrently.
Clean UK driving license (2+ Yrs)

The ideal candidate will have industry knowledge as well as previous experience within Bureau Services. Having knowledge of large validation and tenant recharging would be preferred although this is not a necessity. The basic role is to deal with all areas of the billing and customer service area of the bureau services

The role will involve the management of high volumes of data within both spreadsheets and in-house databases.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Ensure that opportunities for new business are dealt with professionally and appropriately at all times.
Act as initial point of contact for all customer queries either by telephone or electronically and respond promptly and efficiently to all enquiries.
Log and resolve customer complaints and handle product and service inquiries. Direct requests and issues to designated resource.
Manage customer accounts; allocating and reconciling for referral process.
Organise workflow to meet service level agreements.
Submitting timely and accurate statements of energy consumption and charges for heating and hot water are generated and distributed to residents each month.
Provide a main point of contact for customers making enquiries on their heating and hot water accounts, demonstrating high quality at all times.
Support the Bureau Manager by providing regular reports on heat meter status, meter reads and consumption data.
Attend meetings with clients to explain heat network charges and to promote understanding of heat tariffs.

The candidate will:

Have previous experience in either the Housing finance (particularly utility invoices) or Energy sector.
Good organisational skills,
Proficient with numeracy.
Have a strong understanding of the principles of customer care.
Be IT literate with advance knowledge of Word and Excel.
Some experience of account management.
Strong oral and written communication skills, feeling comfortable with presentations.
Have a recognised qualification in finance or energy sector would be beneficial.

Additionally, the role includes mandatory training visits to Denmark and Austria and comes with a company-provided car for professional use. The starting salary for this position is £25,000.

Due to the detailed requirements of the role and its responsibilities some degree of flexibility with regard to work location i.e. working from home will be given.
