Now, we’re looking for a tenacious and self-driven Technical Sales Manager to expand our success in the Southern regions of the UK and securing new opportunities for Evinox during this exciting period of transformation.

About the Role

Working closely with the Chief Sales Officer and a highly experienced sales team, we are seeking an exceptional individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for driving success.

As an experienced Technical Sales Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the company’s sales strategy, turnover, and profit targets, and grow our presence and awareness in the dynamic heat network market across new build, retrofit and upgrade projects.

You will take ownership in driving sales across Evinox’ product portfolio from turnkey heat network solutions to a range of hardware, technology and services. This includes smart Heat Interface Units (HIUs), Cooling Interface Units (CIUs), Prefabricated Utility Cupboards, advanced technology solutions that deliver efficient, controllable and sustainable heat networks, and a range of managed services including energy-as-a-service, maintenance, metering and billing services.

This role is office-based but given the nature of the role you will be expected to meet customers including ESCOs, housing providers, contractors, developers and M&E consultants, and become a key point of contact for our customers in the South, providing recommendations for product selection, and upselling our wider portfolio of products and services to meet our customer’s needs.

You will be tasked with producing accurate tender documents for submission working closely with our bid manager, to convert and secure orders, and to undertake handovers to our operations team for the successful delivery of projects. This extends to delivering CPD’s to clients, consultants and specialist sub-contractors to ensure Evinox products are specified and to ensure customers fully understand our value proposition.

You will be provided with product training and the opportunity to grow and develop your expertise in this field, and attend seminars and exhibitions to gain further knowledge of Evinox competitors and the wider industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing and implementing of a sales strategy for the South to increase market share.
• Identify and develop relationships with existing and new customers.
• Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets.
• Develop a sales pipeline and forecast, and present updates on progress at sales meetings.
• Manage the sales process to deal stage, securing projects in line with strategy, sales targets and KPIs
• Understand and promote Evinox’ vision, its strategy and value proposition to customers and industry stakeholders.
• Represent the business at customer meetings and at industry and networking events.
• Liaise with customers to gain an understanding of their business, project requirements and timelines.
• Present our product range to new and existing customers, keeping our products at the forefront of our customers’ minds.
• Assist with bid submissions and documentation for new contract opportunities liaising with internal teams including sales support, marketing, design and engineering teams.
• Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders, and close deals.
• Manage and report on sales performance to the Chief Sales Officer and in sales meetings.
• Build a high level of knowledge across the Evinox product range.
• Continue our reputation for providing great technical advice and solutions to our customers.
• Listen to customers feedback on our products and relay this back to the engineering and design team.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and potential competitors.
• Manage all activities on the CRM system and ensure all opportunities and communications are recorded.
• Track own performance against targets and KPIs on CRM.

What You Bring

• Passionate and enthusiastic about communal and district heating heat networks and the role of technology in this sector.
• Strong knowledge of industry and regulatory trends and the opportunities this presents in a changing energy market.
• Experience at a technical sales engineer level.
• Background in communal or district heating networks from a contractor or manufacturer of heat network equipment or technology.
• Experience in plant room design, boiler and/or heat pump technology, HIUs.
• Proven track record of achieving sales growth and achieving targets.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• High self-motivation and a demonstrated ability to nurture and develop customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
• High commercial acumen, with the ability to negotiate and agree contractual terms.
• An analytical mindset with experience of heat network analysis.
• Mechanical engineering degree preferred or equivalent.
