At Aston, Drift is acting as Principal Contractor for the drilling and testing phases of the scheme, delivering multiple deep abstraction and reinjection boreholes into the Sherwood Sandstone aquifer beneath a fully operational city-centre campus. The project demonstrates Drift’s ability to manage technically demanding drilling operations within highly constrained live environments, whilst maintaining strong standards of health, safety, stakeholder communication and environmental control.
The company is also preparing to commence geothermal drilling works associated with a London hospital decarbonisation scheme, supporting the continued expansion of open loop geothermal technology within critical public infrastructure and healthcare estates.
