SWEP’s business mission is to “Lead the global development, production and marketing of brazed plate heat exchangers while facilitating conversion to sustainable products and processes.” We take our role in providing sustainable products and processes seriously.

Energy efficiency and climate neutrality

Using their heat exchangers instantly improves energy efficiency and helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions. They have also developed a dedicated range of heat exchangers that use climate-neutral refrigerants, such as R744.

Their heat exchangers are extremely energy efficient. And that means a smaller carbon footprint.

Their brazed plate heat exchangers (BPHEs) provide highly efficient and safe heat transfer in many different applications. They achieve this through smart product design, which delivers BPHEs constructed to maximize energy efficiency. For example, their AsyMatrix® technology exploits asymmetric plate patterns to transfer more heat using less material.

Their compact heat exchangers are much smaller than traditional heat exchangers, such as shell & tube. While surpassing these traditional systems in energy efficiency, their innovative products also use less material because they are smaller.

SWEP have developed a dedicated range of BPHEs for the climate-neutral refrigerant carbon dioxide, R744. Remarkably compact, yet reassuringly sturdy, these BPHEs can withstand the high pressures required for R744 while ensuring highly efficient heat transfer.

Renewable energy sources

Our heat exchangers make efficient use of renewable energy sources. Renewable energy comes from nature’s resources and is naturally replenished.

Our heat exchangers are used in a wide array of renewable energy applications, such as:

  • Wind power
  • Solar heating
  • Renewable heat using heat pumps
  • Municipal waste heat re-distribution through district
  • energy.
