As part of our continued growth 2G Energy Ltd require a Project Manager to join our dynamic and expanding team. A practical mechanical/electrical background will be essential, along with a willingness to learn, as there will be a cross section of projects to manage. Full training and backup support will be given to make a successful post. You will need organisational and IT skills to take responsibility for a project from receipt of order stage, through to delivery, installation and finally commissioning through to handover. This office and site based role depend on the complexity of the project where you will be expected to:-Attend hand-over meeting with the sales department to take ownership of the project.
-Co-ordinate the designs including electrical, mechanical, civil and GA
-Liaise with our supply chain for ordering components and coordinating sub-contractors
-Organise and attend client site technical meetings
-Co-ordinate delivery and installation logistics
-Oversee commissioning and make sure the project is complete within program

Experience required. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as an engineer or project manager in the industry, previous relevant experience with generators and/or combined heat and power systems, strong practical knowledge of CHP, acoustics, mechanical P&ID’s, electrical schematics

Danfoss Heating is looking for a Sales & Technical Manager to increase knowledge and awareness within District Energy (DEN) hardware and software products and services. The position will see the successful candidate support DEN customers pre and post-sales and work collaboratively within the UK & Ireland Sales team by offering value added solutions by way of Design and system knowledge. Within this role there will be a need to progressively increase sales through innovation, design and full system solution offers.

The job is home-based, any UK location is suitable (with a preference of Midlands or the North) there will be a requirement to travel within the UK and some European travel may also be required. Independent working requires high levels of motivation and commitment.


Job Responsibilities



As our new Sales & Technical Manager, you will be required to increasing overall sales of DEN hardware and software solutions (volume, value and margin in line with agreed targets). You will expand the current project pipeline by developing technical solutions alongside the technical development manager to support customer requirements. You will Establish clear Partner growth of hardware and software solutions by creating new areas of business growth with a variety of different stakeholders. As part of the position, you will be supporting the technical development manager and building strong relationship with the UK DEN sales team and DEN business unit to develop technical solutions for the future.

Furthermore, the key tasks of this position are:

•    Prioritize technical product and application support for the UK DEN team in Solution sales
•    Offer technical product and application support to customers
•    Work with DEN sales team to support with customer design meetings
•    Develop strong working relationship with Tuchom factory to ensure customers’ requirements are delivered on time and in full.
•    Alongside Technical Development Manager Actively plan and execute pre-sales and post sales technical solutions, in order to develop sales in accordance with global DEN sales strategies and agreed local plans and goals
•    Establish strong relationship with key customers
•    Develop new B2B Partners and build value proposition for existing B2B Partners
•    Deliver product and application trainings (incl. CPD, seminars and training)
•    Work with other divisions of Danfoss, sharing knowledge and sales leads

The Successful candidate should have a practical knowledge of District Energy and have a proven level of experience in delivering technical solutions. You will have gained valuable experience working together with customers and other stakeholders in all levels of services including sales. The Cities Energy team specialises in energy system policy, planning, design and delivery at campus, city and regional scales. You will be responsible for a diverse range of activities, from detailed analysis and reporting, to planning graduate-level staff tasks and resources, project management and managing client relationships across our portfolio of energy clients.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of UK energy policy and regulatory drivers of energy and carbon efficiency across a range of project scales.
• Experience in developing techno-economic feasibility studies for building/campus/city scale energy systems.
• Technical awareness and familiarity with the sizing, design, operation and implementation of low carbon technologies and key components in district energy systems.
• Ability to undertake research and evaluation of new technologies, policies and services in the energy sector.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate detailed design and technical subjects to technical and non-technical audiences using MSOffice.
• Degree educated, preferably in a related discipline e.g. mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering, energy, physics or environment and working towards professional registration.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a related field.

Desirable skills
• CIBSE Heat Network Consultant - CP1 2020 knowledge and experience
• Experience in developing energy and greenhouse gas emissions models and calculations using MS Excel and/or other software packages
• Macro writing or other programming languages such as advanced MS Excel skills, Python, Grasshopper or FME.
• EnergyPro or similar energy system modelling software
• Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Excellent graphic design and presentational skills.
• Develop bespoke methodologies to solve complex problems

The ideal candidate will have industry knowledge as well as previous experience within Bureau Services. Having knowledge of large validation and tenant recharging would be preferred although this is not a necessity. The basic role is to deal with all areas of the billing and customer service area of the bureau services

The role will involve the management of high volumes of data within both spreadsheets and in-house databases.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Ensure that opportunities for new business are dealt with professionally and appropriately at all times.
Act as initial point of contact for all customer queries either by telephone or electronically and respond promptly and efficiently to all enquiries.
Log and resolve customer complaints and handle product and service inquiries. Direct requests and issues to designated resource.
Manage customer accounts; allocating and reconciling for referral process.
Organise workflow to meet service level agreements.
Submitting timely and accurate statements of energy consumption and charges for heating and hot water are generated and distributed to residents each month.
Provide a main point of contact for customers making enquiries on their heating and hot water accounts, demonstrating high quality at all times.
Support the Bureau Manager by providing regular reports on heat meter status, meter reads and consumption data.
Attend meetings with clients to explain heat network charges and to promote understanding of heat tariffs.

The candidate will:

Have previous experience in either the Housing finance (particularly utility invoices) or Energy sector.
Good organisational skills,
Proficient with numeracy.
Have a strong understanding of the principles of customer care.
Be IT literate with advance knowledge of Word and Excel.
Some experience of account management.
Strong oral and written communication skills, feeling comfortable with presentations.
Have a recognised qualification in finance or energy sector would be beneficial.

We are looking for a senior person to join our Energy team and help deliver against our growth ambitions in the exciting area of smart energy and power systems integrated solutions (electrical). This includes developing client solutions in the fields of renewable energy, low carbon heating, microgrids, energy storage, digital energy and electric transportation, delivering the activities described above.

We are looking to add to the team with the appointment of a Senior or Associate Electrical Engineer to be based in our Leeds, Bath or London office (hybrid working is supported).

This Will Encompass:

• Reporting to the Associate Director (Energy)
• Provision of electrical engineering support and supervisory services to Energy team and wider Buro Happold organisation
• Portfolio management of a range of projects covering Masterplanning, local area energy planning, smart energy, e-mobility and renewable energy integration

We Are Looking For:

• Experience of integration of decentralized power generation from renewable sources including solar PVW
• Degree level, or equivalent, in electrical/power systems engineering or related discipline
• Demonstrable expertise in electrical system design typically in medium voltage (MV) levels with low voltage (LV) interfacing
• Skills including a track record of successful project delivery for a range of client types
• An understanding of the interface requirements of electrical systems in low carbon system design e.g., storage, renewables, low carbon heating, demand side response, electric vehicles and energy efficiency
• Ability to apply systems approach to complex problems in the energy and built environment sectors
• Ability to manage themselves effectively across multiple projects including project and programme management skills
• Experience of working in client facing roles with experience of developing client propositions and variations
• Ability to determine client requirements deploy various resources to meet these
• Strong numerical analysis and modelling skills
