Valmech was founded on many years of District Heating Experience, operating from our purpose built offices and manufacturing workshop in Oxspring on the outskirts of Sheffield.
We are specialists in all aspects of mechanical services including district heating installations, plant rooms, heating and domestic pipework services and gas pipework. We also specialise in pre-fabricated pipework, containerized plantrooms and mechanical installations within the aviation sector.
Our Managing Director, Tim Coles, along with our Project Managers have a wealth of experience within the industry, having come from an installation background. We employ mechanical installers including Class 1 welders, welding inspector, mechanical fitters and industrial gas engineers.
District Heating and Cooling Installations
We are specialists in below ground pre-insulated district heating and cooling installations.
Our service includes design, provision and installation of welded pipework, plastic pipework and band jointing. Our service also covers NDT testing, pressure testing, alarm testing and monitoring.
We can offer civil engineering services to carry out the excavation of trenches and loading out of pipework if required, or alternatively work hand in hand with the civils contractor on site.
Mechanical Pipework Installations and Plantrooms
We specialise in the installation of heating, chilled water, hot and cold water, fire main and commercial gas pipework installations.
We can offer design and specification any of this pipework, if required, to ensure the most appropriate and cost effective solution.
Our qualified pipe fitters and welders have experience in all aspect of building services pipework and plantroom installations. We can also offer to undertake pipework insulation and trace heating, via our specialist subcontract supply chain.
Gas Pipework Installations
Valmech are Gas Safe Registered, allowing us to install gas pipework installations to commercial and industrial project via our in-house specialist installers.
Off-Site Fabrication of Heating and Cooling Substations
We carry out off-site fabrications, wherever possible, using our in-house manufacturing workshop.
This solution reduces the overall cost of the installations as well as reducing “hot works” on site and reduces the carbon footprint.
We can offer pre-fabricated pipework, skid units and complete containerised plantrooms as demonstrated within our gallery.
With these plantrooms, we can undertake, design, manufacture and installation including electrical installations, BMS installations, insulation and trace heating.
Hot Tapping
We offer live tapping into existing services using our specialist in house equipment.
This solution has been used with external district heating mains and in traditional heating pipework across a range of projects to avoid disruption to supplies and to avoid shut downs. It also avoids lengthy drain downs, saving time as well as water.
